Purpose: To provide educational sessions to local leaders about best practices for serving youth in child-welfare.

$10,000 – Cincinnati Nature Center – Civic Environmentalism at Cincinnati Nature Center

Purpose: To teach constituents to practice civil discourse and prepare for civic engagement, to turn nature enthusiasts into pro-social, pro-environmental problem solvers within their social circles and communities.

$35,000 – Cincinnati Public Radio Inc. – Local and Regional Election Coverage and Voter Engagement

Purpose: To produce a daily news program focusing on the 2024 elections.

$25,000 – Common Cause Education Fund- Ohio – Fair Districts Southwest Regional Organizer

Purpose: To assist in efforts to pass the amendment to end gerrymandering in Ohio.

$7,500 – Cornerstone Renter Equity – Community and Civic Engagement

Purpose: To support 26 events in the Renter Equity Program, all to include voter registration.

$25,000 – Greater Cincinnati Television Educational Foundation (CET) – Brick by Brick: Solutions for a Thriving Community

Purpose: To produce a community affairs program on affordable housing examining the solutions being tried to redress racial segregation and increase home ownership.

$5,000 – Green Umbrella – Fostering Climate Leadership: A Transparent Approach to Elected Official Engagement and Training in Greater Cincinnati

Purpose: To host two virtual candidate education events targeting eight counties in our region and one in-person candidate forum for Northern Kentucky communities.

$2,500 – Law and Leadership Institute – Provide Public Sector Exposure and Experiences to Underserved High School Students

Purpose: To provide online internship opportunities and field trips to various legal offices in Hamilton County.

$25,000 – League of Women Voters of Ohio Education Fund – To create educational content about gerrymandering in Ohio

Purpose: To contract with political science and geography experts who will work with staff to use mapping software to demonstrate how communities are currently sliced and diced purely for political advantage.

$6,500 – League of Women Voters of the Cincinnati Area – Naturalization Ceremony and Jail Voter Registration

Purpose: To expand the electorate by providing voter registration opportunities at naturalization ceremonies and reach and register citizens in jail who are eligible to vote but often excluded and uncertain of their rights.

$16,000 – League of Women Voters of the Cincinnati Area – Nonpartisan Voter Guides

Purpose: To support the printing and distribution of nonpartisan voter information materials and the operation of the Online Voter Guide for the 2024 elections.

$2,500 – Mill Creek Alliance – Canoes & Conversations

Purpose: To support the fifth Annual Canoes & Conversations event which builds community support to develop Mill Creek as a community asset with significant health, recreation, environmental, economic, and transportation potential.

$12,000 – Ohio Voice – Ohio School Board Races: Education & GOTV Campaign in Southwest Ohio

Purpose: To support a non-partisan, statewide coalition to push back against efforts to censor curricula, discriminate against students and teachers, and push partisan agendas in Ohio’s schools.

$10,000 – Ohio Voice – Ohio Voter Rights Coalition 2024 Voter Education & Election Protection

Purpose: To provide voter education, promote the 866-OUR-VOTE hotline, deploy poll monitors, strengthen relationships with Election Officials and resolve election incidents.

$15,000 – Peaslee Neighborhood Center, Inc. – Growing a Housing Justice Movement in Cincinnati

Purpose: To provide public information that fosters a clearer and more accurate collective understanding of housing issues in Cincinnati and engage in more pointed, collaborative work on strategic analysis in service to longer-term movement building.

$5,000 – Rank The Vote Ohio – Regional Organizer for Southwest Ohio

Purpose: To recruit and educate volunteers to educate the public about Ranked Choice Voting.

$25,000 – School Board School – Growing Our Coalition of Effective Advocates & Elected Leaders

Purpose: To develop equity-focused elected leaders working inside the system as school board members who represent the diversity of their community, understand their role, and are prepared to do it well.

$30,000 – Signal Ohio – Documenters Program

Purpose: To support the Signal Cincinnati production of Documenters, a program focusing on increasing civic engagement by engaging local residents in the reporting and news gathering process.

$10,000 – Soapbox Cincinnati – First Suburbs–Beyond Borders Year 2025

Purpose: To continue producing a community-informed local journalism series that supports the communication/storytelling capacity of the local governments and member communities in the First Suburbs Consortium of Southwestern Ohio.

$10,000 – The Civics Center – Promoting Youth Civic Engagement

Purpose: To data, analysis, and storytelling to power high school voter registration drives, training for educators and students, and supportive policies.

$12,350 – The Matriots Education Fund – Elected Officials and Expert Event Series

Purpose: To support a series of Elected Officials and Experts events to provide women with non-partisan resources and information to encourage participants to get involved in the political system including voting, advocacy, and running for political office.

Purpose: To support civic engagement events with political candidates and develop an Active Transportation Policy toolkit for the program.

Purpose: To continue the research, design, and publication of the 2023 State of Black Cincinnati: Journey to Parity, a report on racial equality in Cincinnati across economics, employment, education, health, housing, criminal justice, and civic participation.

$15,000 – Women’s Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation – Appointed Civic Leadership Academy Phase Two: Expanding Our Reach and Deepening Our Roots

Purpose: To support a non-partisan program that prepares women to serve on civic boards and commissions, and empowers them to seek a seat at the table.

Purpose: To support a program of events and travel to the State Assembly to encourage civic engagement in Ohio youth.
