Dave Altman to retire from Seasongood Foundation | Ignite Philanthropy selected as new foundation manager

After 44 years, Dave Altman is retiring in mid-June as Executive Secretary of the Seasongood Good Government Foundation. You are receiving this email because of your current or past relationship with the Foundation. Dave will continue to practice environmental law at AltmanNewman Co LPA.

Ignite Philanthropy, a local firm which has been in the foundation management business for 22 years, assumes grants and administrative management of the Foundation effective May 1, 2019. The transition is already underway with direct participation by Dave and a transition team appointed by the Seasongood Foundation’s Board of Directors. The Ignite team for the Seasongood Foundation includes Scott Provancher, Susan Ingmire, Annemarie Henkel and Patrick Points. Annemarie Henkel will serve as lead program officer and primary contact for the Foundation. Patrick Points will serve as grants manager and technical support to grantees.

Ignite will maintain the established grant application deadlines, which are quarterly. Progress and final grant reporting requirements will follow previously established deadlines, as well. Both grant applications and progress/final reports will migrate to Ignite’s electronic grants management system effective for the October 15 grant deadline. Ignite will provide tutorials for interested grant applicants. Paper applications will continue to be accepted for organizations that prefer them. Ignite Philanthropy also assumes responsibility for the City Hall Intern Program and other Foundation activities, including administrative duties. As of May 1, the legal address and phone number for the Seasongood Foundation will transfer to Ignite’s offices.
